Dylan Kendle is a London based creative and a member of the design collective tomato. Over the last 15 years he has worked extensively in moving image and print, his output bridging the disciplines of advertising, branding, music and film. He has chaired and featured on international panels on both design and moving image and lectured at Chelsea College of Art on experimental film making and contemporary typography.

An art director by trade Nigel loves creating ideas for any media from TV to mobile apps and direct mail to social media.

He is obsessive about creative ideas and crafting ideas that are customer-focused, consistently challenging everyone to create relevant and engaging creative platforms that provoke conversations.
He has created over 30 award-winning communications from Cannes Lions to Grand Prixs.
His other loves include photography, painting, typography and the occasional real ale.

Dave founded Watermill with Bertie Miller in 2008.

Watermill is a multi-discipline project based company. As well as accepting commissions for advertising, design, film and TV work, Watermill creates and produces it’s own projects including digital and publishing.

Before Watermill Dave was Creative Director of D,F,G,W a top 30 ad agency for 18 years.

D,F,G,W were the only Independent on Pizza Hut’s international roster, (Hit the hut). Launched the most successful car company in the UK ever (that’ll be the Daewoo) And did for the BBC what ITV heroically failed to do, launching Britain’s new digital platform, Freeview and made it bigger than Sky.

Freud communications bought D,F,G,W in August 2007.

Dave designed the interior of the Body Zone, the only part of the Dome to have Queues. He has been President of the Creative Circle and received their lifetime achievement award. He’s won almost enough advertising awards and worked with talented people who’ve won loads more.

Before that there was GGT, the hottest agency of the 80’s, were he got to work on everything, LWT, Toshiba, Lurpak, Cadbury’s, Ariston and his slogan for Morrisons, is still proudly on their bags 25 years later.

Harry Pearce, Partner, Pentagram

Harry Pearce joined Pentagram's London office as a partner in 2006 having co-founded and grown Lippa Pearce to become one of the UK's most respected design agencies over the previous 16 years.

His work touches many disciplines, from spatial design and identity to print, packaging and posters.
Encompassing the public and private sectors, local and global charities, and commercial enterprises, his diverse clients include The Co-operative, Anish Kapoor's exhibition at the RA, Phaidon Press, the Science Museum, Saks Fifth Avenue, UN and the Russian Police.

He is also a member of the advisory board for Witness working with Peter Gabriel for the human rights charity for over 17 years. In 2009 Harper Collins published his first book, a collection of typographic nonsense, Conundrums

He regularly speaks at major international design conferences across the globe, including AGIdeas in Australia, Design Indaba, South Africa, Semi Permanent, New Zealand and Design Yatra, India. Speaking engagements have also taken him to New York and Chicago, as well as colleges, Museums and the Typographic Circle in the UK.

He is an active member of Alliance Graphique International.

Recent work
Ewan’s recent clients include Aena (Spanish airports) Heineken Brasil, Argos and HSBC. These projects have seen Ewan generate unique design languages that can be flexibly applied, to ensure that brands express themselves beyond merely badging and instead, present their brand in endless ways that are always relevant to their target consumer.

General experience
Ewan joined The Brand Union in 2002 as Design Director of the Brand Experience team. The breadth of work in the team allows Ewan to use his background in both exhibition design and retail design to perform a central role in breathing new life into tired brands, as well as creating entirely new brands.

Background
Ewan has also worked on projects for Intel, Shell, Coca Cola, Vodafone, Pilsner Urquell, MGD, and Audi These jobs have seen Ewan create concepts that enforce the essence of the brand through every touch-point on the customer’s journey.

Before joining The Brand Union, Ewan worked as an exhibition designer at New York’s Metropolitan Museum and as a retail designer at Fitch, where his clients included Premier Automotive Group, Pamukbank, ING, Oasis, 3 and Lego.

Before becoming a designer, Ewan was a session drummer. “I love my job but I still wish I was a pop star!”

Matt Allen, Creative Director, Red Brick Road

Having originally trained as a graphic designer at the acclaimed Norwich School, Matt reached the turning point in his career when he decided that what he’d really liked to do was make the logos of some of the world’s biggest companies as small as possible. Thus a career as an advertising Art Director was born.

After a quick detour through Bucks College, Matt landed his first job at Ammirati Puris Lintas where he stayed until its merger with Lowe Howard Spink in 2000. Six years later he left Lowe to form part of the start up ‘The Red Brick Road’ where he remains today.

Along the way he’s worked with some great clients including Stella Artois, Olympus, Reebok, Heineken, Sky One, Orange and Tesco with varying degrees of success on the logo front.

Gareth Howat, Co-founder, hat-trick design

Having trained at Central St Martins and Kingston, Gareth started his career at The Partners. After working in various design studios, he co-founded hat-trick design in 2001. Working in a multi-disciplinary studio, he has designed everything from signage to stamps. He works with a broad range of
clients, including the Natural History Museum the Royal Mail, and the RFU.  As a creative director of hat-trick, he has won a range of awards, including D&AD, Design Week and the New York Art Directors Club.
